It’s me, Ana. And I am the problem.
Every morning for the last 6 months, I wake up early, go to gymnastics class/practice Yoga at home, meditate for an hour, and then work non-stop.
I have a schedule that looks like the game of Tetris, designed by a psychopath.
And the psychopath is also me.
Now, it’s not that simple.
I had bad days when I couldn’t wake up, spent all day crying, thinking about finances, dreaded learning new things, and had several breakdowns in the process.
The LinkedIn ghost that caught me is a psycho, trust me. Makes me do crazy shit!
Why am I telling you this?
Because-
(rewind-sound!)
I had the dream job on paper.
Corporate stint working with multinational companies, gradual promotions, and big salary numbers. My family raved about my status and income.
My friends loved this life, but I felt miserable.
I know you expected me to say this.
But honestly, I was just about okay to go on with this, but also, just not quite comfortable in the rut.
With time, I realized- the game costs more than it gives.
Eventually, I quit.
Without a plan.
I travelled, bought things I wanted because I finally had the time, and went to the gym at odd hours.
I did not have the confidence to make it on my own. (or so I thought)
One day, I finally asked the question- What will you do anyway if you didn’t get paid for it?
I only had 2 answers-
Yoga/fitness
Writing
I chose writing.
This led to learning, trying, and experimenting like anything.
But most importantly, I decided not to go back to corporate and bet on myself.
(Back to present-day sound!)
Today, I am confident enough to write this email to you, and I feel amazinggggg! I am grateful that you subscribed to me and my ideas.
