A lot of creators are talking about yearly reviews at this time of the year. And for all the good reasons.
A yearly review helps people reflect on the highs and lows, bigs and smalls, love and loss of the year that is about to pass. It is a time to remember and celebrate the wins and to learn from any mistakes made.
If these notes are not made, these important events get lost in the history of our lives. We forget to celebrate and pat our backs, we forget to learn and build upon our mistakes.
I will also be doing a year-end review in the last week of December, if you are interested we can do this together.
Doing things together makes any process easier and more fun to do.
I will post the prompts soon on the chat, see if those questions resonate with you, if yes, please join me. I will share details in the upcoming posts of this newsletter.
Now, let’s talk about stating the year.
My December ritual is to watch a lot of Christmas movies, and crawl up in bed each night until the plot becomes too predictable to watch!
This was me until last year, but this year is different, I am a solopreneur now, and with that comes a great deal of responsibility.
The responsibility to take care of not just the business but to take care of the actual physical entity that is responsible for making these things possible for me.
I am attending a 12-day-long Vipassana Meditation Program in Chennai.
I will be in silence for the duration of the program with very limited access to any tech or gadget.
I have never been a party person, I don’t have the fear of missing out on New Year’s Eve.
I am excited about being with myself and giving this intense practice a chance, giving myself a chance to experience nothingness.
I hope to get more clarity and stillness from this program. So I can be of help to other people in the world.
What are you doing to start the year? Comment on the post and tell me. I am excited for you :)
Let’s grow together 💃🏻
Love,
Ana
