Hi friend,
A few weeks ago, I signed up for Tim Denning's $1000 Weekend Challenge. Honestly, I was skeptical. Spending an entire weekend to build a business offer and actually get results sounded like the kind of overpromise I typically scroll past on LinkedIn. But curiosity and this feeling of - “If not now then when” got to me.
I was terrified as I joined the Zoom meeting, surrounded by other challengers, I thought, Is this really possible? Tim and Todd kicked things off with their signature no-fluff energy, diving straight into the deep end. My mind raced: Can I really pull this off in just two days?
But here’s the thing: I showed up. Fully. I treated every exercise like a life-or-death mission. No small detail escaped me—I triple-checked everything. I went all-in on Slack, replying to every question, asking my own, and—let’s be honest here—probably testing Tim and Todd’s patience with my relentless curiosity. (I like to think they appreciated the enthusiasm.)
And then, it happened.
By the end of the weekend, I had successfully built my ghostwriting offer. Not only that, but I took the plunge and started DMing connections—and even strangers—on LinkedIn. This was a huge step for me, especially considering the months I had spent overthinking whether I should do this at all.
The results? Within the weekend, I had three leads lined up.
Three. Leads!
For context, that’s three more than I had when I spent weeks daydreaming about launching this offer. The best part? Those leads didn’t just happen; they were a direct result of me implementing every single step of the challenge.
But this wasn’t just about leads—it was about confidence. By the end of the weekend, I wasn’t just someone who could talk about ghostwriting services; I was someone who could sell them.
Since the challenge, I’ve taken two sales calls. Both clients were interested enough to reconnect in January after the holidays. And while the final deals might take a little time to close, the big takeaway is this: I now have the confidence to reach out, pitch, and put myself out there.
It’s wild to think how much time I used to waste wondering if I should take the leap. This challenge compressed months of overthinking into one action-packed, game-changing weekend. Tim and Todd pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I’ll forever be grateful for that.
In the final celebration call, this happened— I pissed off Tim and Todd so much that Todd was forced to give me this title- “Queen of Slack”! I know that they will not be able to forget me so soon!
If you’re on the fence about joining a challenge like this, let me save you the trouble: Do it. You’ll leave the weekend with more than a tangible offer—you’ll leave with the momentum, clarity, and confidence to keep going.
Turns out, sometimes all you need is 48 hours and a couple of people to light a fire under you. Thanks, Tim and Todd.
Congratulations, Ana! I believe what you learn from Tim and Todd will help you grow your audience in Linkedin. All the best!
Congratulations, Ana. You went all-in and made progress happen. I bet you'll turn some of those leads into clients in the new year.
